Messy Church

On the third Monday of each month St James runs a Messy Church in the church hall at 3.45pm after school for children aged 5-11 and their parents/carers.

Messy Church is St James’ attempt to be church for families who might want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians but can’t cope with traditional Sunday morning church services.

It’s a once-a-month time of creativity, worship and eating together. We begin in the hall with many creative activities taking place for all ages.  Afterwards we will then spend sometime together singing one or two lively worship songs, learn a story from the bible and then pray together.  We end our time together with a shared meal which is always scrummy and delicious and means that there’s no need to feed the kids when they get home.

The cost is £1 per person for those who are eating with us and the session normally ends around 5.30pm.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  COME ON AND GET MESSY IN WOODHOUSE!!
