Every Monday between 10.00am and 12.00nn we hold a drop in at St James for anyone who would like a chat, a cup of tea or coffee, maybe a slice of toast or even a bacon sandwich.
There’s also space for some quiet time in the church, private prayer or to light a candle as well as someone to talk to if you need an ear to hear.
Every First and Third Monday at 12.15pm a simple service of Holy Communion is held in church. This a simple read Eucharist and is quieter than our normal Sunday service with time for reflection over the past week.
On the last Monday of each month at 7.00pm we meet together in church to prayer for our world, our community and our church.
Monday and Tuesday mornings at 9.00am during term time we meet together to share morning prayer in the church. A simple liturgy is used with the mornings bible readings. A time for reflection and prayer are often incorporated and also a short time for discussion.
On the Second Thursday of each month between 10.00am and 12 noon a bereavement drop-in for anyone but in particular those who have recently lost someone and are seeking a place to be with others who are sympathetic to their grief and loss.
