Pray that the perpetrators will be brought to justice and that they will find the path back to our Lord. Amid escalating community tensions, pray that God will guide us to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. As the Home Office announces a new strategy to reduce drug related deaths, remember in your prayers all those affected by the heartbreak that addiction brings and pray that new treatment plans are effective.

Church and Community – As the schools in our local area are finishing for the summer pray for children and teachers as they have a time of rest and recuperation and for families as they spend more time together. Pray for those who go on holiday, to be safe and for relaxation and for those who are unable to go far but that they too will find times of rest and joy to be together. As Dave, Verity and the boys leave St James pray for good endings and new beginnings. Pray for the development of the Mission Partnership and the continuing unity of St James. Pray for all those due to be baptised at St James this week.
