Pray that the government will find a swift solution to the current housing crisis.  Pray for the continuing work of the NHS and that there will be respect and understanding between the government and health professionals. Thank God for the gift of health services in our country and pray for doctors and nurses to be granted the gift of healing, caring and compassion.

Church and Community – As the schools in our local area finish for the summer pray for children and teachers as they have a time of rest and recuperation and for families as they spend more time together. Pray for those who go on holiday, to be safe and for relaxation and for those who are unable to go far but that they too will find times of rest and joy to be together. Pray for the development of the Mission Partnership and the continuing unity of St James. Pray for all those due to be baptised at St James this week.

Pray for all those who have been bereaved this week, particularly Brian Rowls and Michael Goldstraw, that they will know God’s love and tenderness at this difficult time.
