On the third Monday of each month St James runs a Messy Church in the church at 3.45pm after school for children aged 5-11 and their parents/carers.
Messy Church is St James’ attempt to be church for families who might want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians but can’t cope with traditional Sunday morning church services.
It’s a once-a-month time of creativity, worship and eating together. We begin by spending a short time together singing one or two lively worship songs, learn a story from the bible and then pray together. We then in the church have an open time for all with many creative activities taking place for all ages.We end our time together with a shared meal which is always scrummy and delicious and means that there’s no need to feed the kids when they get home.
The cost is £1 per child attending with an additional £1 per adult if the adult is also eating with us and the session normally ends around 5.30pm.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? COME ON AND GET MESSY IN WOODHOUSE!!
